Gateway Ticketing Systems, a leading provider of admission control systems, has announced the opening of Loopagoon, the world’s first water park exclusively for women.
Gateway Ticketing Systems is pleased to announce that it has been working in partnership with Prologic First Dubai on Loopagoon, located in Dana Bay, Saudi Arabia.
This is the first major water park of its kind in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and is the first women-only water park in the world. Gateway has provided its Galaxy Ticketing and Guest Experience solution for the new attraction.
Loopaoon
The park sits on 15,616 square metres of seaside real estate on Half Moon Beach in Dana Bay, Al Khobar and was developed by Jenan Real Estate. It is home to a huge water slide tower, with eleven cutting-edge rides, slides and attractions from leading providers. The park employes up 10 120 trained members of staff, in order to provide quality service and safety.
This new attraction is designed for women, with locker rooms near the entrance featuring baby changing station, showers, dressing areas, and towel rentals, as well as several restrooms throughout the venue. In addition, the water park is accessible for all guests.
Loopagoon approached Prologic First Dubai, Gateway Ticketing’s partner in the Middle East because it needed a single vendor with a complete solution. to handle their operational needs. Gateway’s Galaxy Ticketing and Guest Experience solution, with its robust feature set and its ability to unify most operational functions was an ideal choice.
Galaxy solution
The water park opened to the public on 1 September and is using Galaxy Ticketing for on-premise Point-of-Sale and Galaxy Access Control, as well as Galaxy Retail and Food & Beverage.
This particular project includes a Galaxy integration with the Opera Property Management System, in order to handle reservations with the park’s hotel. Prologic First Dubai worked to achieve this integration, ensuring a streamlined booking process from the Galaxy hosted web store all the way to admission on arrival at the attraction.
