Dubai’s Laguna Waterpark unveils overnight camp experience

Dubai’s Laguna Waterpark has announced the return of the region’s first overnight water park camping experience, called The Camp.

The 24-hour camping experience offers movies under the stars, marshmallows roasting over an open fire, BBQs and unlimited access to Laguna Waterpark.

The Camp guests can wake up to a walk or swim at the La Mer beachfront. They will also receive a basket of fresh ingredients to cook, including eggs, tomatoes, onions, Arabic bread, yoghurt and cheese.

After breakfast, guests can spend the day at Laguna Waterpark, where they will receive unlimited F&B. The experience costs AED 700 for two people and AED 1,200 for four people.

Itinerary for day 1

-Check-in from 5pm

-Laguna Waterpark access until 6pm

-BBQ buffet between 7.30pm and 10pm

-Movie screenings from 8pm

-Hot chocolate, bonfire and marshmallow roasting all night

Itinerary for day 2

-Breakfast basket from 6am

-Wave Oz activities from 8am to 9am

-Check-out by 10am

-Access to water park and unlimited F&B all day

Elsewhere, Eagle Hills Jordan is developing the first water park in Aqaba, Jordan. It will be part of Saraya Aqaba, a mixed-use tourism and leisure destination located on the shores of the Red Sea.

It will feature various family-friendly areas, including one for children. There will also be an artificial river, 19 slides, and surfing and water skiing simulations.

Meanwhile, Orbital Assembly Corporation (OAC) is moving forward with its space tourism project, as the world’s first space hotel is set to open in 2027.

RAK Leisure recently announced the opening date of the world’s first Bear Grylls-themed accommodation, part of the Bear Grylls Explorers Camp in the UAE.
