Polin Waterparks, a leader and innovator in waterpark technology, has announced a key promotion within its European management team.
Industry veteran Gabriele Geraci will become the company’s business development & supply chain manager for Western Europe. Geraci was previously Polin’s business development manager for Italy, in the position for over a year before being promoted.
His former role has recently been fulfilled by Matteo Ferrarini, who has over two decades of installation, project management and sales, and customer relationship experience.
He will be responsible for Polin Group’s supply chain management, procurement management and vendor relations management for its clients in the UK, France, Germany and other European countries. Polin says that its customers will continue to benefit from Geraci’s “solution-oriented project management and after-sales support services” following the transition.
Bringing industry experience
Geraci studied Tourism and Hospitality Management for five years at Trento Tourism Academy until 1999, from which point Gabriele has worked in the entertainment industry for almost all of his career. Some companies in the sector benefiting from Geraci’s expertise include Merlin Entertainments-operated Gardaland (featured top), Alfapark Srl, Scruffy Dog Creative Group, Create & Deliver, and A&T Europe Spa.
It is in these roles that Geraci gained essential skills including sales management, business development, purchasing and subcontractor management.
A company representative adds, “We feel confident that our customers are served best when Gabriele is in the field. We celebrate his work anniversary and wish him a long-lasting work-life with Polin Group. Polin Group is more ready than ever to provide unique experiences to its customers in Western Europe.
“Thanks to Polin’s international structure, organised locally at a global level, Polin Group has the ability to better understand the dynamics of the unique cultures of its partners and clients.”
Polin Waterparks recently celebrated the successful installation of three Aquatube water slides at one of Latin America’s largest water parks, Beach Park Waterpark in Ceará, Brazil.
