As more projects are confirmed, Baptiste Caulonque joins as Chief Commercial Officer and Andrew Thatcher is appointed as Vice President of Business Development

WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, is celebrating the first year of Endless Surf, which has continued to grow despite the challenges presented by the global pandemic. Endless Surf has several confirmed projects across Europe, Asia, Australia and the Americas and has now announced it is welcoming two new additions to the team.

Baptiste Caulonque is taking on the role of Chief Commercial Officer, where he will work alongside Endless Surf’s President, Paul Chutter. Meanwhile, Andrew Thatcher has been announced as the company’s new Vice President of Business Development. Both are lifelong surfers who bring a wealth of experience to their respective roles.

Bringing cutting-edge surf tech to the world

Caulonque is well-known as a consultant to several mixed-use surf park developments and became an enthusiastic convert to Endless Surf’s technology while working on La Vague Grand Paris, a huge board sports park coming to France in 2024. He will continue to be a project director for this development and has since also introduced Endless Surf to the team at the Los Vientos resort in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic.

Having been a previous client of Endless Surf, Caulonque is well-positioned to support future projects, and says:

“There have been pivot moments in my career and being introduced to Endless Surf 18 months ago was one of them. From the start, I was impressed with the professionalism of the team and blown away by their wave technology—I consider myself very lucky to be joining what I’m confident will be the undisputed leading technology and operators’ top choice for surf pools.”

He also has a strong background in surfing, having left a finance career to work within the sport. Caulonque was the General Manager for Rip Curl Europe from 2006 to 2012, where he was responsible for retail, wholesale and operations across the region.

Thatcher is a South African surfer and board sports venue expert, based in San Diego. He began working in the artificial wave industry with WaveLoch in 2000, and for the past 20 years has worked with FlowRiders to create successful surf bar venues in Asia and the Americas

These new hires exemplify Endless Surf’s client-focused approach to business, being experts in the world of surf and surf venues:

“We are surfers who want to bring surf to the world,”‘ says Thatcher. “We share the ambitions of our clients; we want to make venues that book out wintery mid-week mornings and we’re confident we have the formula to do that!”

Earlier this year, WhiteWater also announced that it will be providing an Endless Surf pool to a new development at The Club at Parkwood Village on Australia’s Gold Coast, 10 kilometres away from the world-famous Surfer’s Paradise.
