WhiteWater, a leading waterpark manufacturer, has joined forces with Polmar, which will now be producing fibreglass water slides for WhiteWater’s projects around the world.

WhiteWater is pleased to announce that it has entered into an exclusive manufacturing partnership with Polmar. The company will be producing fibreglass water slides for WhiteWater, assisting in the delivery of its projects all over the globe. Polmar is owned by parent company Polkima, famed for the production of complex moulded composite parts for leading brands such as Volvo and Mercedes.

This new agreement means that WhiteWater can manufacture fibreglass parts on three continents, as it adds to the output from their own plant in Canada as well as from its partners in the Phillippines.

A global supply chain

Due to its global supply chain and regional production capabilities, WhiteWater has been able to continue delivering projects despite the disruption caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

“Polmar, as the European production partner, is an important addition to our production capabilities because they exemplify the high quality, consistency, and compliance standards we look for,” says Chief Operating Officer, Onno Meeter. “They are used to meeting the high precision and highest quality expectations of premium car manufacturers, including Mercedes.”

Polmar’s production facility meets the key automotive standard, IATF 16949. It also complies with many ISO international standards

“We value the extension of our relationship with WhiteWater, which enabled us to diversify our work outside the automotive industry, and are confident that the fibreglass innovations and durability enjoyed by our clients, including JCB and Ford, will benefit water park owners too,” says Polmar’s owner, Anthony Gallia.

Joint investment

WhiteWater began producing slides with Polkima in 2018, after thoroughly auditing its finances, quality and processes. Now, the company has invested in a full set of moulds to cover all slide part sizes, allowing Polmar to produce quality products exclusively for WhiteWater.

“The extension of our supply relationship with Polmar ensures we continue to be known for the quality and longevity of our fibreglass,” continued Meeter. “From the outset, we’ve been very impressed by their quality control and innovations—they are the only producer in the world that can make 8-millimeter-thick RTM direct from the factory to meet CSEI requirements.”

100% of Polmar’s products for WhiteWater are RTM, a smooth-on-both-sides product that gives riders a better experience. It is also long-lasting, giving peace of mind for clients.

“The investment we’ve made in this new plant with Polmar demonstrates WhiteWater’s commitment to consistently produce the world’s best fibreglass slides, wherever they are made,” said Paul Chutter, Chief Business Development Officer. “Our partnership with Polmar ensures that our fibreglass water slides remain smoother, brighter, and longer-lasting than anything else on the market,” he continued.
