Losonnante is the result of an ambitious scientific research project, carried out in partnership with leading teams. By combining scientific expertise with technological innovation, Losonnante has developed a unique immersive listening concept through bone conduction, offering a sound experience that is natural, inclusive, and deeply intuitive. Rather than having the sound travel through the air and the ear canal, our devices use the bone conduction principle by transmiting vibrations directly to the bones of the inner ear. When these vibrating bones send signals to the brain, the latter interprets them as sound.

The Losonnante sound devices were developed in close partnership with the CRESSON team (center for research on sound space and the urban environment) attached to the CNRS and the PACTE laboratory, a Social Sciences Laboratory, also attached to the CNRS but also to Grenoble Alpes University and Sciences-Po Grenoble. From the outset, in addition to bone conduction technology, we set out three main areas of work and reflection: the listening position, the listening environment and sound content.
Losonnante immersive sound devices offer an acoustic and sensory break during the visitors' experience. No need for headphones, only the visitor's body is engaged. A moment out of time, alone or for two, where you will become one with sound. By bone conduction , sound travels from the elbows to the hands, which are placed over the ears. The listener thus gains access to a sound capsule that others cannot hear. Perfect for noisy or outdoor spaces, Losonnante enhances the value of the environment without generating noise conflicts, and sets Losonnante apart from other smartphone-based solutions.
Unlike other systems usually found in public places (audio guides, loudspeakers, outdoor speakers, etc.), our technology introduces a break in the visit. The visitors listen to something else, something different. Standing or sitting in front of this intriguing object, they become aware of a new way of perceiving sound, and listen through their bodies.
Thanks to our expertise and our work on bone conduction, we’re the only company in the world to offer involved, playful listening that encourages attention, memory and concentration.
This enables institutions using our technology to highlight important aspects of cultural mediation, heritage and landscape enhancement.
