Kool Replay
Kool Replay provides automated photo and video technology for attractions, enabling operators to capture guest experiences, create shareable content and generate additional revenue without requiring staff to manage the process.
Based in Montreal, Canada, the company has spent more than a decade developing solutions for the attractions sector. Its technology is used across amusement parks, family entertainment centres, water parks, ziplines, outdoor attractions and cruise operations. Kool Replay reports more than 125 projects across 12 countries and four continents, with over 6.5 million videos captured and delivered.
The system automates the process from image or video capture through editing and distribution. Rather than relying on guests to record an experience themselves, cameras positioned around an attraction capture the action, while Kool Replay's technology processes the content and makes it available to guests. Depending on the attraction, operators can offer photos, video, POV footage or combinations of media.
Automated guest media
Kool Replay designs its systems around the individual attraction and the type of experience being captured. The technology can be integrated with existing operations and sales channels, with automated capture, editing and distribution reducing the need for additional operational staff.
For family entertainment centres, the same platform can support different experiences including karting, climbing attractions and drop towers. The company's technology can also use AI to select and reframe shots before distributing the finished media.
Outdoor systems are designed for demanding environments such as ziplines and high-thrill attractions. Kool Replay says these installations can operate with autonomous power and networking where necessary, allowing deployment at sites without existing infrastructure. Content can be ready for guests shortly after their experience.
Creating new revenue from the guest experience
Guest media provides attractions with both a retail opportunity and a source of digital marketing content. Kool Replay's model allows operators to sell captured content while giving visitors material that can be shared through their own social channels.
The company reports more than 500 million views generated through content produced across its installations. Its systems are also designed to extend the purchasing window beyond the immediate attraction experience. At Fun Spot America, for example, guests can continue purchasing their ride media for up to 90 days afterwards.
From theme parks to outdoor attractions
Kool Replay's installations span a broad range of leisure and attractions businesses. Its website lists operators and destinations including Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, Fun Spot America, Cleveland Metroparks Zoo, Canada's Wonderland, Luna Park Coney Island, Cedar Point, Indiana Beach, Morey's Piers and Water Parks, Gilroy Gardens and Grupo Xcaret.
The technology is also used at adventure attractions including Rainforest Adventures, Mountain Monster and Canyon Sainte-Anne. At a zipline installation, Kool Replay reports that media sales increased by nearly 50% compared with the site's previous system.
Recent development has also expanded the company's focus on social media. In 2026, Kool Replay acquired CrowdSpecs, which had worked with the company on turning automatically captured attraction videos into social content.
