7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has announced the acquisition of BlueBox Attractions, a design, consulting and production management firm with offices in Australia and the United Kingdom.
BlueBox’s client list includes Walt Disney Imagineering, Merlin Entertainments, Universal Studios, and Center Parcs.
The position of Principal Systems and Support Engineer at 7thSense will be undertaken by BlueBox Attractions founder and CEO Mike Ross. He will provide 7thSense customers with professional support across the Asia Pacific (APAC) region in his new role.
Talking about the acquisition, Ross says “Having worked with 7thSense products since 2009, BlueBox Attractions has provided specialist experience design, consulting and production services for global theme parks, destination attractions, museums and live events.
“We are excited to be part of this strategic acquisition which will allow us to bring the many years experience of BlueBox Attractions to the rapidly growing 7thSense and Medialon user community.”
Successful partnership
The acquisition follows a number of 7thSense and BlueBox Attractions collaborations throughout the past decade, such as the D.R.E.A.M. Centre project (pictured above) in the southeast of England which was awarded a Thea Award by the Themed Entertainment Association in 2021.
7thSense CEO Matt Barton adds; “As we continue to expand 7thSense product lines, we are thrilled to announce the joining of 7thSense and BlueBox Attractions forces to our integrator and end-user base.
“Exceptional quality, innovation, performance and support are at the core of everything we do, and the addition of BlueBox Attractions’ skillset allows us to continue our highly-focused product support for the APAC region.”
7thSense was established in 2004, specialising in pixel generation, processing and management through a toolkit of advanced products, enabling operators and storytellers to fulfil their projects around the world. It merged with tech company Medialon in 2020, utilising the company’s technology at prestigious venues such as Expo 2020 Dubai.
Yesterday, 7thSense detailed its contribution to Little Canada, utilising the Medialon Showmaster Pro system to bring life to the indoor miniature experience.
