The Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) is a non-profit international association representing creators, developers, designers, and producers of compelling places and experiences around the world.
Our members are experts in a variety of disciplines in the creation of out of home visitor attractions and experiences in the leisure and travel sector. This includes theme parks, waterparks, museums, zoos, corporate visitor centers, casinos, restaurants, branded experiences, multimedia spectaculars, retail spaces, resorts, hospitality, destination attractions and more in an ever-evolving industry.
Founded in 1991 by a group of visionaries led by Monty Lunde of Technifex, the Themed Entertainment Association was created to provide a collective voice to the growing number of entrepreneurial companies working in the themed entertainment industry.
The association now has over 1,600 members in four primary Divisions: Eastern North America, Western North America, Europe & Middle East and Asia Pacific, representing over 8,000 people worldwide. TEA has changed the global conversation about how great experiences are conceived and realised.
The TEA is honoured to enjoy strong, long-term relationships with major operators and developers such as Herschend Family Entertainment, The Walt Disney Company, NBC Universal, Merlin Entertainments, Le Grand Parc Puy du Fou, SeaWorld Parks and Entertainment, Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, Europa Park, Parc du Futuroscope, and many others.
