Bumper First Year for National Gallery Singapore

Since opening its doors a year agoTheNational Gallery Singapore has welcomed over1.5 million visitors.

Thepermanent collectiondrew 463, 172 visits in the first quarter while a further266, 899 visits were made to the gallery'snon-permanent shows, such as the successfulexhibitions on ink masters Wu Guanzhong and Chua Ek Kay.


The museum's CEOChong Siak Ching said, "In the time of one year, we have launched nine exhibitions, thousands of different programmes and it's been an exhilarating journey".

To celebratethe public's support, the museum will hold a series of over 60 activities- including interactive art installations and an art and design market - over two consecutive weekends, starting November 25th.
