April the Giraffe’s impending motherhood has captured the imagination of millions.  So far YouTubers (32 million views) have spent over 1700 years (and still counting) watching April in her stall NOT having her calf.

Live streaming of animal births from zoos is nothing new, but the small and relatively unknown Animal Adventure Park in New York State have inadvertently got a media sensation on their hands.

The live stream went viral after the video was temporarily removed from YouTube following complaints of obscenity.

Blooloop interviewed park owner Jordan Patch to find out how the small park is dealing with the giraffe hysteria.

April now has her own website, branded clothing, feed sponsorship and emoji’s.

#AprilTheGiraffe is trending on Twitter with celebrities like Tom Hiddleston getting involved.
