Work progressing on Adam Safari Park, Oman

Adam Safari Park Oman

Oman will open its first safari park in the near future. Work on the Adam Safari Park is 60 percent complete.

In response to questions on social media from locals about the park’s progress, the Ministry of Tourism issued a statement at the beginning of the week, reporting that the work on the park is ongoing:

“The work on Adam Safari Park in the Wilayat of Adam is progressing well and is 60 percent complete.”

The Adam Safari Resort will feature a sizeable entrance building, an amusement park with attractions such as a steel roller coaster, Go Karting race track and a large maze, as well as an extensive safari park where numerous species of animals roam freely in a naturalistic habitat, a safari hotel village and safari restaurant.

The Adam Safari Project is part of the Oman Tourism Strategy, which comprises seven segments, to be put into effect by different governorates.

Further projects in the strategy include:

  • The 65,000 square metre Hawana Aqua Park Project, which opened in January 2018 at the Salalah Beach Tourism Complex.
  • The Hayy al Sharq being developed near Barka, which will comprise a water park, a wildlife area, electric games, and an equestrian centre.
  • The Mall of Muscat in Mabela features a number of attractions, including an entertainment park, Oman Aquarium and an Ice Village.
  • The Mall of Oman in Bausher boasts a Magic Planet Entertainment centre and an 8,000 square metre snow park.
