Severn Lamb, a leader in the manufacture and supply of leisure, resort and amusement transport, has unveiled three new electric road trams: the Solar Shuttle, ShuttlePro XL, and 9000ST Series.
The new models extend the company’s catalogue of eco-friendly passenger transport solutions, which enable operators to provide dependable, sustainable, and fun travel for visitors while minimising environmental impact.
Patrick Lamb, managing director at Severn Lamb, says: “Our latest range of EV trams represents the perfect balance between innovation, practicality, and sustainability. The addition of solar-assisted technology highlights our ongoing commitment to reducing environmental impact while enhancing the guest experience.”
Sustainable, comfortable & efficient
Severn Lamb has launched the Solar Shuttle, an ultra-lightweight electric vehicle that can accommodate between 12 and 24 guests. A standout feature of this model is its integrated solar panels, which work to extend the vehicle’s range and reduce the frequency of charging. For operators, the Solar Shuttle optimises efficiency and uptime using a dedicated app that offers smart fleet management and predictive maintenance.
With the ShuttlePro XL (pictured top), the company presents a compact, yet high-capacity vehicle that is engineered to comfortably transport 12 to 48 passengers. The model’s adaptability and space-efficient design make it an excellent solution for venues with complex visitor flow and operational footprint requirements.
Meanwhile, the durable 9000ST Series is designed for safari and adventure tours and can accommodate more than 84 passengers. This robust and comfortable vehicle is ideal for zoos, animal parks, and outdoor activities that need reliable, high-capacity transportation.
These new additions highlight Severn Lamb’s long-standing dedication to sustainability and innovation. From solar-assisted energy systems to sophisticated digital fleet management, its latest models integrate state-of-the-art technology with the company’s demonstrated expertise in transport for leisure settings.
Recently, Severn Lamb shared details of its collaboration with the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area in Arizona, US, to upgrade its visitor transportation system from diesel-powered vehicles to fully electric shuttles.
