The projectis adding over 71,000 square feet of exhibition space, more than doubling the size of the facility.Themed environments that evoke the Yucatan Peninsula include wetlands, Mayan ruins, coastal lagoons and coral reefs.
The H-E-B Caribbean Shark Exhibit includes a 118ft underwater tunnel - the longest in North America.
A multi-sensory 4D theatre will recreate the sounds, smells and sights of the ocean in a state-of-the-art auditorium.
Aside from the underwater creatures, the exhibit will also be home to a wide variety of fauna including birds, crocodiles, iguanas and even bats.
