Overview:

Immerse LDN is an entertainment destination at Excel London's waterfront in the Royal Docks, bringing together immersive exhibitions, cultural attractions and experiences inspired by art, entertainment, history and popular culture.

Opened in 2024, the district provides purpose-built spaces for large-scale productions, offering visitors opportunities to explore different worlds through interactive installations, audiovisual storytelling and themed environments.

Part of the wider Excel London destination, Immerse LDN adds a year-round leisure offering to an area already established for international exhibitions and events. Its changing programme is designed to appeal to families, tourists, culture enthusiasts and visitors looking for experiences beyond traditional museums and entertainment venues.

Immersive exhibitions and experiences

Immerse LDN

Immerse LDN hosts a varied programme of exhibitions and attractions, combining creative storytelling with technology, art and audience participation.

The destination has previously welcomed experiences based on internationally recognised entertainment properties, including The FRIENDS Experience and Formula 1: The Exhibition. These productions demonstrate how familiar subjects and intellectual properties can be adapted into physical experiences, allowing audiences to engage with stories, characters and cultural themes in new ways.

Its 2026 programme includes House of Dreamers, an imaginative installation-based experience that has previously attracted audiences across Europe, and Balloon Museum: Euphoria – Art is in the Air, which explores contemporary art through large-scale inflatable installations.

Another addition, Timewalk: Journey Through 12,000 Years of History, takes visitors through ancient civilisations using multisensory environments, spatial audio and interactive displays. The exhibition demonstrates how immersive formats can also support cultural interpretation and informal learning.

Together, these attractions illustrate the versatility of Immerse LDN's spaces and its ability to accommodate experiences spanning entertainment, education and contemporary art.

Immersers LDN

Rather than operating as a single permanent attraction, Immerse LDN provides adaptable venues capable of hosting different exhibitions and productions.

Its individual event spaces, known as Chapters, can be transformed to accommodate changing creative concepts and visitor experiences.

This approach enables the destination to introduce new content over time while providing producers and exhibition organisers with a London location for presenting their work.

The venue also offers opportunities for private events and corporate takeovers, extending its use beyond public ticketed attractions.

A waterfront leisure destination

Immersers LDN

Located beside Royal Victoria Dock, Immerse LDN forms part of the ongoing development of Excel London's waterfront as a destination for both business and leisure visitors.

The Waterfront Street Kitchen & Bar complements the exhibition programme with food and drink options, encouraging visitors to spend time in the wider district before or after their chosen experience.

The location also benefits from London's transport network. Custom House station, served by the Elizabeth line and Docklands Light Railway, is approximately three minutes away on foot. Visitors can also reach the Royal Docks by cable car, river transport, walking or cycling.

Connecting culture, technology and entertainment

Immerse LDN reflects the growing role of immersive experiences within the attractions and leisure industries, where exhibitions increasingly combine physical environments, digital media and participatory storytelling.

By bringing together touring productions, entertainment-led attractions and cultural exhibitions in one waterfront district, the destination provides a platform for different approaches to visitor engagement.

Its evolving programme positions Immerse LDN as an example of how flexible exhibition spaces and changing creative content can contribute to the development of urban entertainment destinations.
