Erica McCay is a creative director, writer, and designer of stories that connect people and place.
For over 20 years, she has crafted live theatre productions, play-based educational experiences, and themed attractions.
Between working at Universal Creative and as a vendor, Erica has designed large-scale, physical interactive experiences for theme parks around the globe since 2013, including bringing stories to life where guests make magic in the Wizarding World and jump into a real-life video game in Thea Award-winning Super Nintendo World.
Erica is Senior Creative Director at TAIT and on the board of the Association of Interactive Performance Professionals. She has an MFA in Creative Writing and is named on multiple patents for her creative interactive experience designs. Erica captured her design process in the article "7 Principles for Creating Immersive Worlds."
