EPIC Entertainment Group reveals holiday activations

EPIC Entertainment Group, a producer of themed entertainment, live events, and immersive environments, has revealed details of its holiday activations which are adorning numerous high-profile destinations across the US for the 2023 season.

The EPIC team is once again working its magic at the renowned Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, from now until 7 January. The firm also has its first project in Hawaii, where it is redefining the Christmas experience at the newly reimagined Turtle Bay Resort in Oahu, until 5 January. Meanwhile, throughout December visitors to the Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden in Miami, Florida, can enjoy a month of family festivities with the Very Merry Garden.

Charity Hill, co-founder of EPIC Entertainment Group, says: “Our passion lies in crafting unforgettable moments that capture the unique essence of each location. We are dedicated to creating immersive experiences and custom décor that transform every venue into a holiday masterpiece. We are so pleased to team up with a local Hawaiian artist to bring the spirit of the island to life with our Christmas tree sculpture at Turtle Bay.”

Spectacular festive fun

Turtle Bay Resort on Oahu’s picturesque North Shore has undergone a spectacular transformation, adopting a beach-chic holiday theme replete with a nature-inspired lobby tree and garland, and heartfelt Hawaiian-style Santa experiences.

EPIC and Turtle Bay Resort have collaborated exclusively this season with famed local muralist Jack Soren to construct an awe-inspiring 18-foot Christmas tree crafted from surfboards showing an island-style mural. This impressive installation, which is displayed at the resort’s entrance, is sure to enchant all who enter the luxury retreat.

For its third year of partnership with Hotel del Coronado, EPIC has worked closely with the renowned establishment to enhance its immersive offerings. This year’s theme, A Twenties Holiday Affair, transports guests back a century to the opulence of the Art Deco era.

EPIC is well-known for bringing Hotel del Coronado’s hypnotic choreographed light show to life in 2021, and it is happy to announce the triumphant return this season. All That Jazz is a new holiday jazz-themed experience with choreography and music created especially for this year’s event.

Guests can enjoy beautifully selected décor, freshly extended coastal igloos, a variety of bars, stunning new trees, and, of course, the magnificent 25-foot lobby tree, from now until 7  January.

Moving on to the East Coast, A Very Merry Garden has returned with family-friendly fun and entertainment at Miami’s Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, continuing EPIC Entertainment Group’s legacy of providing festive fun.

The Reindeer Roundup scavenger hunt offers weekly prizes to participants who search for Santa’s lovable animal pals. On selected days, guests can also visit Santa and enjoy live music in the garden. A special Christmas Sip N Stroll event called Jingles & Jazz will take place on 12 December in the evening, illuminating the garden with themed cocktails and music.

The gift shop is packed with fun and festive gifts which guests can browse under the glow of the spectacular Christmas tree. They are also invited to step inside the new restaurant, where they may join in the fun as Mrs C tells endearing stories in a joyful and upbeat Christmas experience.

In Texas, visitors can enjoy the newly branded Hill Country Christmas at the JW San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa. This activation runs until the end of December.

EPIC Entertainment Group, co-founded in 2016 by Charity Hill and Steve Sheldon, is widely recognised as the creative force behind some biggest haunted attractions in the US. EPIC has worked with world-class brands such as Crayola, Hotel Del Coronado, Hersheypark, and NightGarden – Miami’s most popular holiday light phenomenon. EPIC is now in charge of daily operations for the world-renowned Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden, which USA Today ranks as one of the top-rated gardens in the country.

Earlier this year, EPIC Entertainment Group announced that Miami’s Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden saw a record number of visitors over the summer. The company was able to increase ticket sales, attendance, and buzz in spite of the “summer slump” that affected many events and attractions across the US.
