Mad Arts is expanding its museum for immersive art in Dania Beach, South Florida. The new 50,000-square-foot space will open on 24 January 2024.
The permanent attraction will offer year-round exhibitions, educational programmes, immersive installations and technology-driven artworks. It has more than triple the current gallery space, as well as an outdoor garden.
"I'm proud we can bring this intersection of art and technology to a permanent home here in Dania Beach," said Mad Arts executive director Marc Aptakin.

"Our new expansion enables us to broaden the diverse spectrum of immersive art installations, educational programs, site-specific installations and permanent commissions.
"For the opening of the Mad Arts Museum, we are showcasing a range of artistic voices and perspectives across sectors on a local, national, and international level."
The museum will debut with more than 20 exhibitions. Highlights include an installation by Canadian artist LP Rondeau and co-produced by Elektra, and a sound installation by local artist Richard Vergez.
Immersive installations and tech-driven artworks
On the new second floor, Mad Arts will display the work of Japanese artist Makoto Tojiki, three holographic projection sculptures by Studio McGuire, and a laser sound and water installation by JS Baillat.
Also on display will be three site-specific installations by Mad Arts’ engine collaborator MadLabs – 'Luminescent Sylva', 'Infinite Dimensions' and 'Nano Groove'.
In the UK, Wake The Tiger has set the opening date of its new expansion for 2 February 2024. The immersive art experience is adding a new level of rooms and installations.
