Margaret Kerrison

Born in Indonesia and raised in Singapore, Margaret Kerrison ’s career spans over sixteen years of creating narratives for multimedia, games, brand storytelling, location-based entertainment, and immersive experiences. After receiving her MFA in Screenwriting from the USC School of Cinematic Arts, she worked as a Narrative Lead, Creative Consultant, Writer, and Disney Imagineer on multiple award-winning projects around the world, including Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, National Geographic Base Camp, and the NASA Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.

As a consultant, she has created experiences for some of the most beloved brands in the world. She is the author of Immersive Storytelling for Real and Imagined Worlds and Reimagined Worlds: Narrative Placemaking for People, Play, and Purpose and is a frequent guest speaker on immersive storytelling. She was awarded the prestigious 2023 Paul Helmle Fellowship by the Department of Architecture at California Polytechnic State University, Pomona. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and son and is always looking for her next adventure and invitation to play.
