A multidisciplinary museum educator, cultural organiser and podcaster, Paula Santos has held leadership positions at major art museums in New York City, Los Angeles and Chicago.
In addition to her museum work, Santos is the host of the influential Cultura Conscious podcast. She is also a founding member of the Museum Workers Relief Fund. This fund has raised over $80,000 in aid for museum workers adversely affected during the coronavirus pandemic.
Santos is the Senior Manager of Learning and Engagement at Intuit: The Center for Intuitive Art and Outsider Art in Chicago, and Visiting Assistant Professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn.
Santos’ focus during her decade in the museum sector has been on creating and advocating for meaningful, equitable museum programming for family and adult audiences. She has had previous roles at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the National Museum of Mexican Art in Chicago, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Brooklyn Museum and the Whitney Museum.
Her B.A. is in Art History from Williams College and she is a graduate of the Leadership in Museum Education masters program at Bank Street College.
