TheConcord Museum's Board of Govenors have approved $13 million plans to build anew education building and renovate the museum.
Founded in 1886, the museum in Concord, MA, holds historic artifacts ranging from Henry David Thoreau’s humble desk to Ralph Waldo Emerson’s book-lined study.
The Concord Museum has seen it's attendance grow in recent years. Its educational programmes have been particularly popular with enrollment nearly doubling from 2011 levels to 12, 000.
