blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List 2024 honourees announced

News

blooloop is delighted to reveal the blooloop 50 2024 Museum Influencer List, now in its fifth year, celebrating worldwide leaders and recognising their efforts to innovate and positively impact the global museum sector.

Museums, science centres, art galleries, and cultural sites play vital roles in engaging audiences worldwide with critical issues. Not only do they collect, conserve, display and interpret objects, but they are also regarded as authorities when trust in the media and government is at an all-time low. In a turbulent world, these resilient institutions are revolutionising education, raising awareness, and inspiring creative minds.

In association with our friends at BeWunder, an expert in creating multisensory experiences using a range of media and technology, the 2024 list saw hundreds of nominations for museum professionals, submitted by their peers and then assessed by an expert panel of judges. The final result is a list of 50 individuals whose work and achievements demonstrate their passion and commitment to the sector.

Charles Read, MD of blooloop, was joined by Felix Erdmann, entrepreneur and executive at BeWunder, to unveil the list and discuss emerging trends.

Erdmann says: “At BeWunder, we believe in the power of museums to transform and inspire. Sponsoring the blooloop 50 Museum Influencer List allows us to honour those who are leading this transformation. Their vision and commitment to making museums engaging and accessible are truly inspiring. We are proud to support their journey and celebrate their achievements.”

blooloop would like to thank our team of judges for compiling the list, all of the individuals who nominated their peers, and BeWunder for their support.
