The Giant Company, an Irish organisation working in concert with cities, embassies, and leaders across the globe, has revealed further details of its funding plans, including an exclusive NFT series.

To finance the rollout of The Giant concept, The Giant Company has developed a funding strategy that combines traditional and innovative initiatives.

Whilst some Giants will be wholly owned and operated by The Giant Company, others are set to be financed through joint ventures with investors and site owners. Further sites will be part of a franchise model.

Become a giant

The firm will soon invite the digital community to back the first Giant installation, with the introduction of an exclusive NFT Collection. A limited edition of up to ten thousand NFTs will be minted in the coming weeks, providing exclusive perks and benefits for holders.

A company representative says: “The Giant Company is exploring several opportunities to engage with web 3.0 as it expands its commitment to be ‘The Visitor Attraction for the 21st Century.”

Interested parties will have the opportunity to mint an NFT of a digital 3D scan of themselves, which is mappable to The Giant and permanently saved to the blockchain. These scans symbolise a one-of-a-kind asset which the owner has the ability to hold, trade, sell and share as if it was a physical item.

Bridging the real world

The Giant’s high-tech scanning system can also transform these scans into a variety of AR environments which can alternatively be created as NFTs. The scan owner can either mint an NFT of the scan on The Giant or use the scan as an avatar within an AR environment to then be placed on the blockchain.

Brian O’Beirne, a crypto philosopher and director of research at Kasei Holdings PLC, says: “The Giant will bridge the real world with the virtual world in numerous ways and increase and enrich the market for NFTs.”

More information can be found by visiting The Giant Company’s website, or by email

The firm will showcase several new technologies and features at next month’s IAAPA Expo Europe at ExCel London, where participants can find out more information about the NFT programme.
