Design firm provides support for local charitable cause in community

Kraemer Design + Production, a leading designer of children’s museum exhibitions, science centres, theme parks and entertainment centres, has recently volunteered its team for a good cause.

On 7 December, team members from the design firm spent over two hours each volunteering to provide dinner at St. Francis Seraph Ministries in Cincinnati, Ohio, US. St. Francis Seraph Ministries offer Over-the-Rhine’s urban poor population a safe environment to receive hot dinners, served by its compassionate volunteers. During the course of 2019, over 127,000 meals were served.

Smiles on faces

Many Kraemer colleagues enjoyed the opportunity to talk and become familiar with the patrons, whilst providing them with a hot meal, which Kraemer Design + Production say provided many smiles during the festive season.

The company set up for the dinner rush at Mother of Calcutta Dining Room, filling sugar and creamer coffee bags, making and pouring hot coffee, and performing any other duty that required assistance. The team also cleaned up after dinner, vacuuming and tidying up the serving stations.

In the spirit of Christmas

Kraemer Design + Production believe that the initiative allows the company to serve, providing the true meaning of the holidays. The act of kindness is timely, with the ongoing impacts of the pandemic seeing changes in personal circumstances and colder nights drawing near.

Jackie Holthaus from Kraemer Design + Production says “We hope to volunteer every few months because we believe this is truly important. It is great to get together as a team and work on something that is bigger than ourselves by taking time out of our busy schedules and serving the less fortunate. Make them smile, serve them a hot meal, and convey how important they are.”

Earlier this year Kraemer continued its work with the Mississippi Children’s Museum by creating a new satellite venue in Meridian, US.
