Kushner Companies and Times Square Attractions Live have signed a 15 year deal to open a unique National Geographic attraction in Times Square, New York City.
National Geographic Times Square: Ocean Giants (working title) will be the first permanent exhibition by the non-profit scientific and educational institution in its 128-year history.
SPE Partners will develop and produce the project, under license from National Geographic Partners.

Peterson, Principal and Chairman of real estate firm, Peterson Companies. “Together with SPE Partners under the creative leadership of Lisa Truitt, we look forward to creating a world-class branded experience for National Geographic in the heart of New York City.”
CEO of Kushner Companies, Jared Kushner’s comments echoed the excitement surrounding the project:
“This deal truly takes the consumer experience in Times Square to the next level, and exemplifies our work in repositioning one of Midtown’s most storied buildings as a world-class cultural and retail destination.”
The attraction will occupy 59, 137ft² at 44th Street and is slated to open in 2017.
Peterson Companies is responsible for over 34 million square feet of highly successful mixed-use retail, entertainment, residential and office projects in the Washington DC region. Notable projects include National Harbour, a 350-acre waterfront resort featuring the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Centre, Tanger Outlets, the Capital Wheel and the $1.4B MGM National Harbour Resort & Casino. The complex is expected to open this year.
