PGAV partners with the Gospel Music Hall of Fame

PGAV, a global leader in the planning and design of unique destinations, has partnered with the Gospel Music Hall of Fame to begin an extensive master planning project.

The master plan will outline an approach for the Gospel Music Hall of Fame to transform the former Second Baptist Church in St. Louis, Missouri, into a centre for education, culture, and performing arts, with an exhibition hall and cutting-edge recording studio.

Sharing stories from gospel music history

With a completion date of mid-2025, the master planning process consists of three stages:

  • Destination feasibility. Phase one collects information to establish a comprehensive picture of the possible project and defines development tactics. This includes an evaluation of the site and current infrastructure, prospective users, and market potential. Additionally, this stage starts to investigate possible narratives and themes for the development.
  • Initial product development. Guest experience products are investigated in phase two. Diagrams of the building plans will be created, and workshops and stakeholder reviews will take place.
  • Refined product development and implementation plan. The last stage concentrates on developing a strategic roadmap. This will guarantee sustained success by defining precise procedures for assessing the plan and establishing a phased implementation strategy.

Dr Monica R. Butler, founder of the Gospel Music Hall of Fame, says: “We are thrilled to embark on this journey with PGAV to imagine a future for the Gospel Music Hall of Fame. We’re excited about this journey and setting forth a plan to celebrate gospel music’s rich history while furthering our commitment to the well-being of the St. Louis community. The history of gospel music is being lost, and it’s vital that we tell the stories and keep it alive.”

PGAV recently announced the promotion of Charlie Lutz as studio leader for its facility in St. Louis, Missouri, and Gary Rogowski as studio leader for Orlando, Florida. In these roles, Lutz and Rogowski will promote an environment that maximises creativity and efficiency, allows staff members to develop, and strengthens PGAV’s position as an industry leader.
