SSA Group, a best-in-class provider of integrated guest services, has announced that it is now operating the retail store at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum in Boston, Massachusetts.

The attraction, which sits within a building designed by renowned architect I. M. Pei, is the official repository for original papers and correspondence of the Kennedy Administration. Visitors to the museum can learn about the life, leadership, and legacy of President Kennedy and his enthusiasm for politics and public service.

Creating a flow

The new partnership began in May 2023 and sees SSA Group providing updated merchandise and collections. These feature modern and elevated products that tie into various elements of JFK’s career.

The firm has also brought some changes to the design of the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum store. Despite a relatively small space, the procurement and creative teams at SSA Group were able to design it to match the client’s requirements. They created a flow in the store by using a replica of the Resolute Desk as the entryway feature table. This guides guests towards the Presidential Seal collection.

In addition, as guests explore the perimeter of the shop, they will be introduced to the JFK Campaign collection and a local favourite, the JFK Nautical Flag collection. The team has impressively reimagined a historical figure in a modern and respectful way, exceeding expectations and showcasing their skills and dedication.

Earlier this month, SSA Group announced that it has worked with Aurora, one of its distributors of plush toys, to ensure that the new Mini Flopsies plush collection is more sustainable. The line will only be available at SSA zoo and aquarium gift shops and features 30 different species, including giraffes, elephants, sea lions, sharks and more.

Aurora has removed the plastic pellets in the production of this collection and the firm will continue to make sustainable changes to product lines, including using recycled plastics. The total amount of plastic removed from this initial delivery will be around 12,600 lbs.
