Disneyland Paris has revealed how it repurposes and recycles lost items as part of an ongoing commitment to its communities and the environment.
Every year, guests leave behind many personal belongings in Disneyland Paris' parks and hotels, including unclaimed glasses, jewellery and mobile phones.
Glasses left at Disneyland Paris are collected and donated to the Louis Braille Museum, which partners with an optician specialising in the circular economy.

They are sorted, refurbished and prepared for reuse, then redistributed through nonprofit organisations. Damaged frames are repurposed for educational use or recycled.
Unclaimed jewellery goes to a master jeweller for sorting, with the proceeds of any precious metals donated to charities selected by the jeweller and Disneyland Paris.
Mobile phones left at the theme park are refurbished and put back into use by a specialised company that partners with ESAT, a French organisation providing supported employment opportunities for people with disabilities.
Unclaimed clothing is donated to nonprofit organisation Tisseco, which upcycles textiles into original clothing and accessories, while unclaimed strollers are donated to Emmaüs.
Donating Disney merchandise
As for lost Disney merchandise, new items with their original tags are collected and donated through organisations such as the French Red Cross.
From 2024 to 2025, Disneyland Paris donated 500,000 products to nonprofit organisations.
"Behind every lost item is an opportunity to make a positive impact," the resort said in a press release.
"Thanks to the dedication of our nonprofit partners and cast members, eyeglasses help people see more clearly, clothing finds a new purpose, mobile phones are refurbished and reused, and jewellery is transformed into charitable donations."
