New projects are being discussed with more than 120 prospective franchisees worldwide

BattleKart, an experience that combines a physical driving experience with dynamic AR projection mapping, is looking forward to new challenges in 2025, as it reflects on the achievements of the last months.

The indoor AR go-karting concept has proved successful since its launch in 2017. In this innovative and fully accessible go-karting and gaming experience, guests are invited to drive multiple tracks and game modes delivered via beamers on the ceiling. Players can try modes including racing, soccer, pool, a snake game and a shoot ‘em up.

Sébastien Millecam, BattleKart CEO, says: “The last year confirmed our status of pioneer and leader in our market. During the last 12 months, we had the opportunity to open 17 new centers, reinforcing our leading position in Europe, but also exploring new markets such as the UK, Dubai and even Australia!”

Ongoing growth

BattleKart has experienced rapid growth and is currently operating at 45 locations (including five temporary spaces). Many of these attractions are in Belgium, France, and Germany, with recent expansion into the Netherlands and Austria.

This growth is set to continue through 2025 and into 2026, with 32 franchise contracts already confirmed. 17 new venues will open during the first half of 2025.

“This year, we will consolidate our positions in France, Germany and Australia, but not only. We will enter a brand-new market, as our first American franchisee will settle… in Cancun, Mexico. We are very excited to explore America, as we know the huge potential it means for our concept and our development,” says Millecam.

“Another challenge we’d like to take up in the following months is our first settlement in Asia. It’s obvious that the Asian market is ready and awaiting us to arrive.”

More than 120 prospective projects are under discussion worldwide.

Upcoming theme releases

BattleKart’s focus on customer experience and retention resulted in the release of the BattleColor game mode in 2024, along with the confirmation of seasonal game modes, including Christmas and Halloween with unique gameplay. In addition, new graphic themes were introduced for the flagship game mode, BattleRace.

Millecam says: “Our goal is to create lots of funny graphic environments for our game modes, so that our players can come and play as many times as they want, and still live a fully renewed experience. We already released a BattleRace “Rocket Bay” theme, which immerses the players among pirates, sharks and a treasure island. Next February, we will release another theme which will add a touch of magic and mystery to our offer.”

Two additional themes are currently being designed, and are slated for release in the spring and summer of 2025.

With 2.5 million players around the world, the established BattleKart concept continues to deliver fun for its fans and an ongoing growth opportunity for its franchisees.

Last year, BattleKart announced the opening of BattleKart London St Albans. The new location is open seven days a week and offers an Exhibition Park that can accommodate up to 12 karts on a 1600 square metre track.
