Attendees at Creative Work's Amusement 360 event

Creative Works, a theming company and attractions provider, recently hosted its first Amusement 360 Event of the year.

From 18-20 February 2020, Creative Works held the Amuseument 360 Event in Indianapolis. Originally started in 2011 as LaserTAG360. The event initially focused on laser tag but grew to include a more general approach to amusement education.

Amusement 360 is an educational conference that helps to provide a wealth of information for FEC operators. Some of the education topics this year included site and attraction selection, hiring and training your team, marketing, sales, operations and more.

Danny Gruening, Vice President of Marketing at Creative Works, said that the company’s “goal is to provide the best tools and resources to empower startups and existing operators.” For Gruening, the “new format of the 360 Event allows us to cater to the evolving needs of entertainment operators throughout the industry”.

The event started with a keynote speech from Jason Barnaby from Firestarters Inc. Marc Wiese from Airway Fun Center then took part in an operator interview where he shared his insights from years of operational experience. He also answered questions about his own business strategies.

FECs in Indianapolis

Breaks in the conference schedule allowed attendees plenty of time to network. They were also able to play with attractions from Creative Works, such as the Hologate Arena and Esports.  As part of the event, attendees visited Woodland Bowl and Main Event, two FECs in Indianapolis. Guests were able to play laser tag and other games as well as socialise with each other. This smaller format allowed for more personal interactions.

Creative Works will host two more Amusement 360 Events on June 8-10 and October 6-8 2020.

The company recently installed an open-air laser tag concept at the Urban Air Adventure Park in Knoxville, Tennessee.
