Imagine Leisure, a leading leisure consultant, has announced the completion of its latest project, developing a concept to attract visitors all year round to TT World, located next to the Dutch TT Circuit Assen.
Imagine Leisure is pleased to announce the completion of its project at TT World, where the company was asked to develop a concept to attract year-round visitors. TT World is adjacent to the famous Dutch TT Circuit Assen, where international motorsports events are hosted, such as the MotoGP, World and the Motocross of Nations. The legendary track is on the outskirts of the city of Assen, in the north of the Netherlands.
The track is a popular venue, however, visitors were coming for one-off events, and the client wanted it to become a destination in its own right.
Developing the concept
Imagine Leisure conducted a full market analysis of the region. It examined the history, the DNA of the region and the developments in the area. Following this, the company began developing the concept. Its research showed that many families with small children, as well as couples without children, enjoyed visiting the region. Therefore, the concept developed was based on attracting those target groups.
The foundation of this is three axes, forming a connecting element throughout the area. There are activities for several target groups, including kids cars, a high ropes course and a look at the history of the area.
It also includes a race experience, a themed restaurant, and an experience based on a popular motor brand, as well as an innovation centre.
The concept’s main theme is energy, which has ties to the history of the region, for example through the high-speed races that take place. Visitors can experience fun things to do with an active key characteristic: share the energy in this historic place.
In addition to this, the concept looks at generating energy, with a focus on sustainable fuels, the creation of energy and the usage of green energy. It also aims to give people energy, making sure visitors leave with a positive feeling and spirit.
Imagine Leisure’s concept has been positively received by the client, who is pleased with the fact that it has been designed to be in keeping with the location and region, and in a way that is feasible.
A spokesperson for Imagine Leisure says, “For Imagine Leisure, this was a very interesting and challenging assignment. The location is very particular since there is a thin residential market, but at the same time, there are many tourists staying in the area. The province is very special since it holds a lot of history and a very strong identity. This was important for Imagine Leisure to preserve.”
Imagine Leisure recently launched a brand new online platform, where potential clients can explore the company’s work and stay updated on its latest news and projects.
