Kidzplorer is an edutainment attraction focusing on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics). Hongkong Land has plans to expand the play attraction across China.
Kidzplorer is located within The Ring, Chongqing, a seven-storey shopping mall with 74,000 square metres of leasable area. The Ring includes a huge indoor botanical garden, as well as cultural and interactive offerings.
Robert Wong, chief executive of Hongkong Land, said the company is always working to introduce “innovative concepts and fresh offerings” to its customers.

“Kidzplorer represents Hongkong Land’s breakthrough in providing innovative family-friendly amenities into our retail experiences, answering the needs of today’s customers, many of whom are parents who visit along with their children,” he added.
Kidzplorer is designed by JRA and Star Group. It covers a floor area of nearly 3,000 square metres and offers nine play zones, as well as a STEAM classroom, café and retail outlet selling STEAM toys and products.
The edutainment attraction also features scientific installations to support learning and uses state-of-the-art technology including smart location wristbands to track children.

Ling Chang Feng, executive director of China property at Hongkong Land, said The Ring “will serve as a pioneering model which we will roll-out to other cities on the Chinese mainland in the future.”
