Scruffy Dog awarded Shengli C97 Project in Chongqing, China

Scruffy Dog Group, a leading creative design company, has announced that it has been awarded a major cultural and creative project in China.

Amidst their continued success in Asia, Scruffy Dog is proud to be a part of this project appointed to them by real estate giant Chongqing Xi Du Real Estate Development Co., Ltd. The London-based studio will be responsible for designing an entertainment centre and a children’s park. This is part of the Shengli C97 cultural and creative project, and will be located in the municipality of Chongqing in China.

Spanning an area of 110,000 square metres, 25,000 square metres will be dedicated to indoor entertainment, and this includes a 3,000 – 5,000 square metres family entertainment centre. The space will entertain families with children under 14 years old, and is also set to serve as one of the leading children themed area in western China.

A space of engaging entertainment

“We are transforming the entire area into a creative and cultural venue, including indoor and outdoor areas. Visitors will be surrounded by a beautiful environment with engaging entertainment for the whole family, paying special attention to the youngest. Altogether, it will be a balanced mix of leisure, commercial spaces, themed attractions, edutainment and adventure activities,” says Maikel Menendez-Gonzalez, Scruffy Dog’s Technical Director.

Scruffy Dog Group LogoThe team has recently completed the project’s Masterplan and Initial Concept. They will now start working on the Concept Development stage.

When asked about their partnership, Chairman of Chongqing Xi Du Real Estate Development Co., Ltd, Duan Quan says, “We are very happy to have cooperated with the Scruffy Dog team. Their designs are full of passion and imagination. We hope we can deliver a world-class entertainment centre for both Chinese children and children all over the world.”

Scruffy Dog had just appointed a new Head of Marketing & Client Development Manager to help develop and strengthen their presence in China. The company has also recently announced two major projects. It will collaborate with iP2Entertainment to produce concepts and designs for family entertainment centres internationally, and it is also involved in a multi-million-pound entertainment project in the UK, that was awarded to them by ITV and Lifestyle Outlets.
