wiegand.waterrides, a leading water rides and attraction provider, has collaborated with the Familiamus activity and wellness hotel in the northern Italian Alps to create an extraordinary range of dry slides, and a family wave water slide.
This five-star hotel features a slide experience at the heart of the resort, which far exceeds traditional expectations of slides. With this playful installation, guests can slide through the hotel, between floors, across the lobby, and down to breakfast.
Unforgettable experiences
Hotel Familiamus is a 140-bed resort in Maranza and was opened by Susi and Peter Nestl and their family last year.
The Nestl family once again approached the Wiegand family firm, run by Hedrik Wiegand and headquartered in Rasdorf, Germany, for a memorable play experience. The family had previously worked with wiegand.waterrides on their Erika hotel, which is also designed for families.
The water world at Familiamus includes a family wave water slide constructed of stainless steel which is both durable and sustainable, and a fast GRP RR900 tube slide. Both these slides land in the level beneath the indoor/outdoor pool area.
The dry slides that connect all of the hotel’s levels are its unique feature. Visitors of all ages can use a variety of stainless-steel slides to go from floor to ceiling down the main staircase area, all the way to the lobby, breakfast area, and into the subterranean car park. The hotel’s indoor children’s play area has also been outfitted with Wiegand slides.
