wiegand.waterrides, a leading water rides and attraction provider, has brought four new slide experiences to Palm Beach, including a spectacular free-fall slide. The firm, which is the only manufacturer worldwide with high-quality stainless steel and GRP water slides in its range, was asked to bring its sustainable and durable stainless steel water slides to the pool in order to help the operator expand capacity.
This material is ideal for outdoor slides and is also low maintenance, with welded, polished joints and smooth surfaces for the highest slide quality.
Four new slide experiences
Four new slides opened at the pool’s outdoor area on 7 June.
Guests can enjoy Coconut Falls, a freefall box water slide with a height of 8.88 metres and a 68.5% incline, as well as Jungle Twist, which features an acrylic glass slide section in a half-hollow slide. This section offers a great view for both riders and spectators and the ride rises to a height of 8.88 metres with a 9.4% incline.
There is also Fini Slide, a 3.33 metre-high children’s water slide with an 18.7% incline, and Tropical Wave, a wide wave water slide, also measuring 3.33 metres high with a 25.7% incline. Both of these rides feature eye-catching colours to further enhance the attraction.
Earlier this year, wiegand.waterrides announced that it had taken over management of Van Egdom products, establishing a larger company with a combined waterslide industry experience of 90 years. Existing Van Egdom products will now benefit from the possibilities of Wiegand upgrades, including elaborate GRP patterns such as zebra stripes, themed elements, sound, gaming, LED effects, Wie-Spray water surprises and Wie-Glow blacklight technology.
New insulation options are also now available including the sandwich insulation or Wiegand’s new Insuflex flexible insulation. Insuflex is an innovative flexible insulation solution that gives operators a new way to save energy.
