XQuarry Adventure Park is designed for off-roaders and adventure seekers. It includes nearly 20km of tracks, as well as 18 obstacles.
In addition, the attraction features an obstacle running course, MTB trails, a remote control car area, and hiking trails.
“There is no other such adventure venue in the UAE or even the region,” Daniel Birkhofer, Managing Partner at XQuarry, told The National. “It’s the first of its kind. XQuarry is also not a theme park – we offer an unpolished but honest and authentic experience.
“On the other hand, we are giving ownership to the community and work closely together with clubs and groups – we listen to their needs and demands. The opening is just the starting point; XQuarry will develop and evolve over the next few years.”
XQuarry is “the first of its kind”
Located in an old quarry in Sharjah’s Mleiha desert, XQuarry boasts an area of approximately one million square metres.
Facilities include BBQ areas and F&B offerings, as well as a playground for children and a meeting centre.
According to a press release, XQuarry was created in a strategic partnership with Mleiha and Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq).

Adventure park opens on February 5
“It’s important for me to share the beauty of my home country with other people and especially, get the younger generation out in the nature to explore and experience adventures in a safe environment. XQuarry is just a step in that direction.”
“We want to help people develop their off-roading skills and technical knowledge to make them better drivers,” added Birkhofer.
Meanwhile, the domestic tourism sector in the UAE and Sharjah is picking up as UAE residents head to destinations that are closer to home.
The grand opening of XQuarry is scheduled for February 5 and February 6.
