Semnox Solutions, a technology provider for the entertainment and amusement industry, is working with Adventure Coast, a newly rebranded outdoor amusement park in Southport, UK, to deploy a completely cloud-based, cashless management system.
The installation forms part of a wider refurbishment programme designed to improve the visitor experience and operational efficiency.

Successful return to Semnox
The recently renamed Adventure Coast has seen various updates throughout the property, with a focus on modernising operations and elevating the overall visitor journey. The addition of a cloud-based system is critical to these efforts, streamlining transactions and minimising operational friction.
Adventure Coast selected the Semnox cloud platform after exploring alternative systems. To inform this decision, it also monitored Semnox’s continued growth across the UK market.
Norman Wallis, owner of Adventure Coast, says: "Having worked with Semnox in the past, we’ve closely followed their growth and strong track record across the UK. As part of our transformation into Adventure Coast, implementing their cloud-based Nexxus platform and cashless system was a natural choice.
"The speed of deployment and system reliability have been impressive, and we’re excited about the opportunities it brings to enhance guest experience and unlock new revenue streams."

Adventure Coast previously implemented a Semnox read-write solution in 2015 and later moved to an alternative system. Its return signifies a renewed focus on scalable, tested technology as part of the park’s relaunch.
The installation utilises Semnox's cloud-native platform, which does not require on-site servers or local network infrastructure, and includes four POS stations, 40 handheld terminals for ride validation, and integrated payment processing via Adyen.
Upon the park’s decision to move forward, it took less than two weeks to implement the entire system.
The platform supports an entirely cashless environment, helping make transactions faster and enhancing the overall visitor experience. The versatile system can also be expanded with capabilities such as online ticketing, self-service kiosks, and integrated F&B and retail operations.

Vinayaka Kamath, business head-Europe, Semnox Solutions, says: "Parks today want solutions that support long-term growth, but they also need speed and simplicity.
"With a fully cloud-based platform, operators can deploy quickly, operate reliably, and scale without the limitations of traditional infrastructure."
Last month, Semnox Solutions shared details of its collaboration with Funzy Playground, a new indoor family entertainment venue inside Arena Mall in Bacău, Romania.
