Saudi Arabia has announced the completion of the Six Flags Qiddiya City at a press conference, as reported by the Saudi Gazette.

Abdullah Al-Dawood, a board member and managing director of Qiddiya Investment Company, stated that Six Flags Qiddiya City is complete and that the Aquarabia water park is over 95 percent finished.

Qiddiya is set to launch its first entertainment asset, Six Flags, on 31 December. This event marks a key milestone in the project's progress.

“Qiddiya is shaping the future of entire sectors,” said Al-Dawood.

Six Flags Qiddiya City will offer several record-breaking attractions, including Falcons Flight, the world's tallest, fastest, and longest coaster; Iron Rattler, the world's tallest tilt coaster; and Spitfire, the world's tallest inverted coaster.

Intamin, a creator of record-breaking amusement rides, partnered with Qiddiya to design Falcons Flight.

The eagerly awaited new Six Flags park also offers a variety of entertainment experiences enabled by innovative technologies, introduced to the region for the first time.

More to come for Qiddiya

The opening signals the start of a series of openings for around 70 properties, which will be announced gradually in line with Qiddiya's phased operational plan, with new properties launching one after another.

Construction is also underway on several other sites, including Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, the Performing Arts Center, the Speed Track, Mercedes-Benz Performance World, golf clubs, and the gaming and esports zone.

Minister of media, Salman Al-Dossary, stated that completing Six Flags in Qiddiya City highlights Saudi Arabia’s wider transformation and increasing global interest in the Kingdom’s entertainment industry.

Al-Dossary also outlined plans for Qiddiya to host the Impact Makers Forum (ImpaQ) and to launch the “IMPAC House in Qiddiya,” a platform designed to unite global influencers to promote cross-border impact and innovation.

Six Flags Qiddiya City is a key part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, aiming to diversify the economy, boost tourism, and create top-tier leisure and entertainment destinations. Its opening is anticipated to increase domestic tourism and reinforce the Kingdom’s status as a regional and international entertainment hub.

It is the first Six Flags theme park outside of North America.
