Steve Tatham is Executive Creative Director at Universal Creative, leading the creative efforts on Epic Universe opening in 2025.
Previously, he held the position of Vice President Creative at Universal Studios Japan, and Principal Walt Disney Imagineering Research and Development. He was at Disney for 28 years and has been at Universal for eight. He is an alumnus of the Harvard Graduate School of Design (AMDP, ‘23) and holds a Masters in Architecture from UCLA and a BA in set design from UC Berkeley.

Steve Tatham is executive creative director for Universal Creative in Orlando.
He started his theme park career at Walt Disney Imagineering immediately after graduating with a masters of Architecture from UCLA.
He was at Disney for 28 years in the roles of show designer, show writer, copywriter, manager of advanced projects, senior manager of connected experiences, and principal at Walt Disney Imagineering R&D.
In 2014, Tatham was approached to lead a team for Universal Studios Japan. He then spent four productive years in Japan before taking up a role leading the development of new projects for Universal in Orlando.
Steve Tatham has 30-plus years of entertainment industry experience in writing, producing, directing, designing and leading creative efforts in the online, interactive and theme park realms.
He has a successful track record grounded in vision, innovative ideas, team leadership and the ability to pitch ideas that get sold, developed and built, from low-budget to multi-billion-dollar projects.
