7thSense, the multi-award-winning media solutions specialist, has announced that it will be exhibiting as an Experience UK partner at IAAPA Expo Europe 2022 at London’s ExCeL. Exhibitors within the Experience UK Pavilion, booth #1950, will be showcasing their innovations to present a projection-mapped centrepiece depicting a street party scene taking place on the upper deck on an iconic London Routemaster bus. The display will feature visuals powered by a 7thSense Media Server.
Eric Cantrell, director of sales and marketing at 7thSense, says “It’s been a busy summer for our team with an expanded board of directors and new product launches. As we continue to supply key players in the exciting world of themed entertainment, special events and visitor attractions, we look forward to continuing sharing some pretty major new storytelling technology releases and big project announcements. Watch this space!”
An exciting future
Earlier in the summer, 7thSense’s involvement as a technology partner with MSG Entertainment was announced. The 7thSense team is working with MSG Entertainment to ensure the speed, image quality, and integrity needed to render content for MSG Sphere, set to open in Las Vegas next year.
Located at The Venetian, the state-of-the-art MSG Sphere will feature a 160,000-square-foot display plan that surrounds the audience, including the world’s highest resolution LED screen with over 170 million pixels and a resolution of 16K x 16K.
In August, 7thSense revealed it has received an Epic MegaGrant from Epic Games – a program that accelerates creative, noteworthy, and innovative projects built in and around Unreal Engine, and to projects that enhance the open-source 3D graphics ecosystem.
Geoffrey Platt, senior product manager at 7thSense, says, “While the exact details of how we’re going to be putting this grant to use remain under wraps for now, we can reveal that it’s going to be invested into advancing our upcoming generative product releases that will be available very soon.
“We’re excited by a future that sees us further integrating with Epic’s Unreal Engine for theme park, attraction and virtual production applications.”
Last month, 7thSense announced the appointment of Emma Newell to its board of directors.
