Providing enhanced POS and eCommerce solutions to US operator

accesso Technology Group PLC, a leading technology provider, has signed a new three-year agreement to provide its software services to OWA Parks & Resort in Alabama, USA.

The tech firm will provide its accesso Passport eCommerce ticketing suite and accesso Siriusware point-of-sale ticketing systems, enhancing the attraction’s current ticketing operations in time for the opening of its new, ultra-modern indoor water park, slated to open in 2022.

Located on North America’s Gulf Coast, the 520-acre OWA Parks & Resort is an entertainment destination on North America’s Gulf Coast located in Baldwin County city of Foley. The resort was created to deliver family-friendly leisure, retail and dining experiences for both residents and travellers.

OWA, pronounced “oh-wah,” translates as “big water” in the Muscogee language spoken by the local Native American tribe that owns and operates the resort.

Winning the Alabama Tourism Department’s accolade of Attraction of the Year in 2018, the destination’s amusement park features over twenty thrilling attractions, including adrenaline-inducing roller coasters, thrill and children’s rides.

Efficient economics

accesso’s Passport eCommerce ticketing suite is an award-winning system that enables operators to provide a first-class eCommerce experience for guests on any device. The fully hosted solution has been crafted to minimise cart abandonment and maximise conversions with revenue-generating upsell and cross-sell messages. Using the suite, operators are able to anticipate customer needs while enhancing their bottom lines.

The accesso Siriusware POS solution creates a unified data system that enables holistic business management. Admissions ticketing is combined with other revenue drivers such as membership, retail, food & beverage and rental support into a single system which can also decrease costs.

OWA Parks & Resort’s director of marketing and public relations Kristin Hellmich says “Our team is excited to join forces with accesso to offer new and enhanced ticketing options for our valued guests. Leveraging innovative technology is key to building brand loyalty, and partnerships like this help us maintain our reputation as the region’s leading entertainment attraction.”

accesso this week announced a new partnership with Sensai Technologies, which will see the Japanese amusement ride manufacturer become the exclusive reseller for the Japanese market.
