Christie to launch Active 3D for MicroTiles LED at ISE 2020

News
Christie MicroTiles LED

Christie, the global visual and audio technology company, will be debuting Active 3D for its MicroTiles LED at ISE 2020 in Amsterdam.

Christie is pleased to announce the continued evolution of its MicroTiles LED, with the addition of Active 3D. The company will be showcasing this latest innovation at ISE 2020, which takes place from 11 – 14 February at the RAI in Amsterdam. Here, visitors will be able to see the new capabilities of Christie MicroTiles LED 1.25mm tiles for themselves.

Customers will be able to enjoy a reliable, flicker-free 3D experience thanks to Christie’s Active 3D for MicroTiles LED. Through active shuttered 3D glasses, viewers can see 3D content at 120Hz (60Hz per eye) in a 1.25mm pixel pitch. This is in addition to the high brightness and P3 cinema-quality colour already provided by MicroTiles LED, leading to an exceptional 3D experience.

Active 3D for MicroTiles LED

Christie MicroTiles LED with Active 3D displays 4K UHD content at 120 frames per second, at 1000 nits brightness. This is through a Christie Link E1000-3D video wall controller. This latest innovation from the company is ideal for customers who require high-quality 3D visualisation capabilities in a range of settings, from aerospace and automotive to military simulation and theme parks.

“With the addition of 3D capabilities to Christie MicroTiles LED, we’ve taken a game-changing product and enhanced it further,” says Ted Romanowitz, Senior Product Manager, Christie.  “We understand the need for a 3D visualization and design experience that doesn’t compromise brightness or colour – and is flicker-free.

“MicroTiles LED delivers stereoscopic images at up to 12-bit colour depth, 120fps and 4:4:4 chroma subsampling in P3 cinematic colour. With MicroTiles LED Active 3D, we anticipate our customers will experience heightened innovation via advanced collaborative design.”

This new product includes integrated Christie Terra SDVoE technology, combined with the design flexibility of the original Christie MicroTiles LED. The display can be customised to suit a variety of uses, from CAVEs and digital signage to control rooms. Christie MicroTiles LED with Active 3D will be available from March 2020, and attendees at ISE 2020 will be able to see them in action at booth #1-H70

Christie will also be demonstrating a wide range of other products and solutions at the show, including a full line-up of tiled and discrete LCD panels and the Crimson 31 laser projector. It will also be featuring the Christie Roadie 4K40-RGB and the Christie Mirage SST projector for the first time at the event.
