Convious talks IAAPA Expo Europe 2023

Free daily talks will discuss the ‘experience economy solar system’ and reveal how AI can help visitor attractions to achieve growth

Convious, a leading eCommerce platform for the leisure industry, has announced that it will be running a series of free daily talks on the show floor at IAAPA Expo Europe 2023 at booth B-2006.

IAAPA Expo Europe is taking place 25–28 Sep 2023 in Vienna, Austria.

Revealing talks programme

The talks aim to “explore the ‘Hidden Worlds’ of the experience economy solar system” with sessions covering Planet Revenue, Planet Visitor Experience and Planet Operations.

The attraction management platform pioneer will run free talks at 3 pm on Tuesday 26 September and Wednesday 27 September, and 11 am on Thursday 28 September.

These sessions will reveal the potential for innovative AI features to simplify the digital journey for visitors and businesses, increasing income, improving the visitor experience, and making manual procedures more efficient.

Exploring the experience economy solar system

The talks begin their exploration of the visitor economy solar system on Planet Revenue. This first session is on Tuesday 26 September, titled ‘How to Boost Your Revenue Using Dynamic Pricing & More’. Convious will be joined by CFO at Plopsa Geordi Storms, and revenue and ticketing manager Sanne D’Haese.

Together, the speakers will discuss the potential for upsells, conversion-driven ticket sales, and smart pricing. This will reflect on Plopsa’s project to implement the real-time pricing model, undertaken earlier this year.

Visitors will then journey to Planet Visitor Experience on Wednesday 27 September, to hear about ‘Crafting Unforgettable Experiences with Personalisation & More’.  This session will share a comprehensive look into the use of personalised communications to connect with visitors and capture their attention.

Convious will also provide a preview of the results of Rubber Cheese’s second annual Visitor Attraction Website Report Survey during the Wednesday session. This is the only benchmark that is dedicated to visitor attractions websites and provides insights into user experience and other essential elements of an attraction’s digital presence.

‘Streamlining Operations & Beyond’ is up for discussion on Thursday 28 September at the Planet Operations session. For this session, Storms and D’Haese from Plopsa will accompany the Convious team once more to discuss how automation, reporting, and forecasting can be used to help an organisation work more efficiently – in terms of both time and resources.

Tools for growth

Werner Dullmaier, VP of business development for EMEA at Convious, will also take the EDUSession stage on Thursday 28 September. The Tech Lab discussion is taking place from noon to 1 pm in Conference Room 2 and will cover Digital, Data-Driven Personalisation.

“Once again, a journey to the Convious booth will present visitors with an experience that is out of this world!” says Dullmaier. “Our free education sessions on the show floor will give leisure operators an insight into the tools available to connect with their visitors, enhance guest experiences, increase conversion rates and manage internal operations.

“Convious enables attractions to achieve exponential growth and propel their businesses into uncharted territories all through one cloud-based platform.”

Convious recently announced that it had been successful in achieving the demanding requirements of SOC 2 (Service Organisation Control 2) Type I IT Security Compliance. This verifies a company’s dedication to protecting sensitive customer data while making sure that the information is available and secure. Convious’s certification sets a new standard in data security and privacy for the visitor attractions sector.
