The system complies with legislation including the Americans with Disabilities Act

Listen Technologies, provider of assistive listening, multi-language audio transmission and live streaming audio solutions, has announced the further development of its Listen EVERYWHERE product line.

The firm, which has over two decades of experience, is expanding the low-latency range with a dedicated Listen EVERYWHERE receiver, ensuring its Listen EVERYWHERE assistive listening system is fully compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

Available as a separate add-on to existing Listen EVERYWHERE servers, the LWR-1020 receiver is also is available in a bundled ADA-compliant assistive listening system, the LWS-10. This package includes a two-channel server, rack mount kit, two LWR-1020 receivers and two protective cases for the receivers, as well as two neck loops, two ear speakers, and a signage kit.

Taking it online

The Listen EVERYWHERE system works on venues’ existing wireless networks, with an easy-to-setup server broadcasting audio across networks and Wi-Fi to compatible smart devices. The Wi-Fi setup means that guests can experience outstanding audio clarity. Operators can customise the complementary Listen EVERYWHERE app with marketing and branding assets such as brand colours and logos, welcome videos, adverts and sliding banners.

Venues can also offer dedicated Listen EVERYWHERE receivers to visitors who prefer not to use a smartphone. These receivers support hearing aid telecoils when used with an accompanying neck loop. The combination of dedicated receivers, neck loops and signage, ensure venues are fully compliant with ADA requirements for assistive listening.

Expert commentary

Listen Technologies last year appointed Maile Keone as its new president and CEO, following the transition of Russ Gentner to chairman and chief strategist.

Keone says “Listen Technologies pioneered audio over Wi-Fi for assistive listening and continues to develop this powerful technology and add to the popular Listen EVERYWHERE product line.

“We are thrilled to bring the dedicated Listen EVERYWHERE receiver to the market and help venues meet the audio needs of their guests so they have a positive experience and will want to return.”

Product manager Cody Hall adds “We have heard from channel partners that their customers want an ADA compliant assistive listening solution that utilises audio over Wi-Fi technology.

“The complete Listen EVERYWHERE offering with dedicated receivers meets that need. It is an incredibly powerful system that is easy to set up, easy to operate, and easy for guests to forget they are using it while they hear clearly. What users will not forget is feeling included and engaged.”

The female-led organisation was named on the Women Tech Council’s (WTC) annual Shatter List last year, as a company with programmes and policies that help women to break the glass ceiling in the technology sector.
