RocketRez acquires communications tech specialist TourOpp Go!

RocketRez, the end-to-end cloud ticketing platform for tours and attractions, has announced the acquisition of TourOpp Go!, the SMS communication automation specialist.

With this acquisition, RocketRez will upgrade its ticketing and operations platform as well as RocketPASS, its recently introduced customer-facing guest experience, with significant upgrades.

For tour and attraction operators looking to increase revenue per visitor, increase review quantities on Tripadvisor or Google, and cut costs associated with providing excellent customer service, TourOpp Go! has emerged as a leading communication software option.

The RocketPass mobile QR code ticket doubles as a digital wallet, enabling users to pay for anything on-site, from parking and additional tickets to shopping and concessions, by simply scanning the code linked to their customer account and payment method. With the help of RocketPass, operators can see the data collected from each digital touchpoint and use the portal to communicate with guests in real-time based on where they are and what they are doing there right now.

Simplifying marketing communication

The Miami, Florida-based TourOpp Go! team, which also has operations in Quito, Ecuador, will be incorporated into RocketRez’s product, customer support, and sales teams, further accelerating its growth.

Using text messaging-based AI chatbot technology, TourOpp Go! enables tour and attraction operators of all sizes to automate discussions with visitors. Since TourOpp Go! was created in 2016 it has saved tour and activity providers more than 15,000 hours in customer support while generating upwards of 45,000 reviews on Google or Tripadvisor for these customers.

Customers of TourOpp Go! use its technology for a variety of tours and attractions that directly relate to the target market segments and industrial verticals of RocketRez. The company notes that existing TourOpp Go! customers won’t experience any changes in their access to the product or features and can continue to count on the same level of customer service and support.

The announcement demonstrates RocketRez’s commitment to solidifying its position as an industry pioneer in cutting-edge ticketing technology, powering tours and attractions throughout North America and Europe.

RocketRez has also recently announced it has closed a Series B round of investment with Level Equity for US$15 million.
