New cashless and contactless systems at the leading attraction to improve guest satisfaction and efficiency

Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced the installation of new cashless and contactless systems at a leading attraction in Scotland.

Codona’s Amusement Park, situated on Aberdeen coast’s Beach Boulevard, is host to a variety of amusement rides, adventure games, and karting tracks, alongside other indoor attractions including a large arcade, play area, golf, laser tag and bowling alley.

As part of a recent upgrade, the popular destination has implemented Semnox’s Parafait and Tixera solutions to power the venue. The manufacturer has provided and implemented a series of cashless and contactless solutions, used throughout the family entertainment centre and outdoor park.

New solutions to streamline operations

While the venue has opted for Xter readers for their rides, Codona’s will also adopt an online ticketing solution to help manage guest flow, improve the visitor experience and reduce crowds at key touchpoints.

Semnox has provided a new gift redemption and inventory management system as part of the solution implementation. Food counters at Codona’s Amusement Park are also powered by Semnox’s POS and inventory management offerings.

Alfred Codona of Codona’s Amusement Park says “Our destination is a mix of indoor, outdoor and F&B offerings, and it was extremely important for us to have a system in place that can handle all our needs at one place. Being a single comprehensive system with centralised control, and with our plans for expansion and adapting to more and more cashless and contactless systems, we knew Semnox was our best bet.”

Vinayaka Kamath, sales head for Europe and Middle East at Semnox adds “Codona’s offerings to the visitors is massive. With the kind of expansion plans that the venue has, we look forward to implementing cashless solutions for over 300 of their arcade machines in the coming days, and also implementing some self-servicing technologies to enhance the customer experience at the venue.

“Codona’s have been very open to ideas and have a futuristic approach to their business plans. We look forward to working with the park and providing a technologically advanced solution for their needs.”

Earlier this Autumn, Semnox also revealed how it has implemented a new cashless solution at Pleasureland Amusement in Whitby, UK.
