Semnox Solutions, a provider of technology for the entertainment and amusement industry, has announced the implementation of a new cashless solution at Pleasureland Amusement in Whitby, UK. The attraction provides entertainment for all ages, with arcade games, indoor golf, bowling and more.

As it reopened this summer, following the COVID-19 pandemic, the venue transitioned to the Semnox Cashless System for arcades, with the TapTap contactless card system. This means it is able to provide a safer, stress-free environment for visitors.

Simple self-service solutions

Pleasureland Amusement now uses Semnox’s Parafait Klassic kiosks, which allow visitors to buy new cards and top up their balance easily. The self-service kiosks are simple to use and to service, and also enable the operator to cross-sell or up-sell. The company’s cashless system also manages the venue’s integrated digital signage displays.

As a result of this installation, the operator will be able to improve the customer experience by bringing in personalisation, loyalty and membership initiatives.

“We had looked at various cashless solutions available in the market before we decided to go with Semnox and now that we are using the Parafait solution for over a year, I feel confident that we made the right choice at the right time,” says Mitch Tuby, the owner of Pleasureland Amusement.

“Semnox has many functionalities and modules which we intend to adopt and roll out to our clients in coming days. This will help us drive more sales and get good value for money and increase the convenience for our clients/”

“UK FECs have been typically slow to adopt the cashless systems,” says Vinayaka Kamath, Head – MEA & Europe, Semnox Solutions. “Now with the COIVID19 pandemic, and clients like Mitch adopting the same, many FECs are rapidly moving forward to adopting the cashless solution. For Pleasureland, it has been a bold move.

“We have known Mitch Tuby for a while now and it is our pleasure to be associated with this project. With the pandemic, we believe that there is a need for change in the approach in the entertainment industry.”

Semnox Solutions also recently announced a new partnership with Redeam, an independent global connectivity stack with digitized channel management and contactless voucher redemption/reconciliation solutions for the Things To Do sector.
