Dang Minh Truong is CEO of the Sun Group, the leading operator and developer of theme parks in Vietnam. Established in 2007, it is also active in real estate, infrastructure investment and hotels/resorts.
Dang Minh Truong studied at the First Moscow State Medical University, before moving to Ukraine. There he teamed up with four Vietnamese colleagues to develop a number of real estate projects. One of these featured an indoor water park. On their return to Vietnam, the quartet started a new tourism enterprise that would become a signature product of the Sun Group.
The Ba Na Hills cable car is now the longest installation of its kind in the world. Over 5km long, it transports visitors to a mountainside cluster of tourist facilities called Sun World Fansipan Legend. The company has since developed further mountain recreation opportunities including the theme parks Sun World Baden Mountain, Sun World Ba Na Hills and Sun World Ha Long Complex – all of them reached by cable car. In addition, it operates Sun World Danang Wonders theme park with its 115m Ferris wheel. Further recreation, resort and cable car projects are planned around the country.
