Kevin Barbee has more than 30 years of experience in master planning and designing theme parks and attractions. Barbee previously worked as senior vice president and chief creative officer of IRMS, leading the design teams behind theme parks, attractions, rides, cruise ships and integrated resorts.
Barbee has worked with leading brands such as Universal Studios, DreamWorks Animation, Paramount Studios, Warner Bros., DC Comics, Hello Kitty and Sesame Street. His project portfolio includes Universal Studios Japan, Resorts World Sentosa, Universal Studios Singapore, Resorts World Genting, Dreamworld, Beto Carrero World and Everland.
During his time with Universal, Barbee led the original show design team. He established the on-site design teams for Universal Studios Japan and helmed the design and on-site art direction for Universal Studios Singapore. At Six Flags Magic Mountain, Barbee introduced the Superman and Batman rides, as well as the Hurricane Harbor water park. Barbee sold hot dogs at Disneyland to pay his way through college. Now, he’s an expert in experiential design, environmental branding, ride design, theme park planning and creativity.
