Lawrence Ho is the chairman and CEO of Melco Resorts & Entertainment Limited and Melco International Development Limited. He oversees the company’s vision and strategy, paving the way in global gaming and entertainment. Ho took over Melco International in 2001 and transformed the business into a pioneering leisure and entertainment group. He started leading Melco Resorts & Entertainment in 2004 with a goal to create a new style of integrated resorts (IR).
In recent years, Ho has worked to expand the Melco brand beyond Asia. In 2015, he opened Studio City, a Hollywood-inspired resort. In the same year, the company launched the City of Dreams Manila IR. In 2021, Melco International announced plans to develop a multibillion-dollar complex that includes a theme park in Zhongshan, China.
“Over the past 15 years, Melco has been creating, developing and operating world-class entertainment facilities in Macau and globally,” Ho said. “In doing so, we created a distinctive model of integrating quality leisure, culture and entertainment. We have developed incredible brands that have great growth potential beyond our existing properties.”
